Harvest Collection for Derby City Mission Basics Bank Project

Our harvest service on the 15th September at 10.30 am will once again be supporting the Basics Bank project of Derby City Mission.  The project serves families on low income or benefits who for various reasons have found themselves in a debt situation.  In the last year DCM have given away approximately 1500 food parcels.  The items which are most urgently required are listed below:harvest

  • Toilet rolls
  • Washing up liquid
  • Bath/shower gel
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Laundry wash tablets
  • Tins of meat e.g. stewing steak, meat in sauces
  • Tins of cooked meat e.g. ham, corned beef
  • Biscuits/crackers/crisp breads
  • Tea bags (bags of 40)
  • Sugar (500g)
  • Coffee (small jars)
  • Peanut butter
  • Chocolate spread
  • Jams
  • Honey
  • Sandwich spread
  • Cuppa Soups
  • Packet soups
  • Jelly
  • Pasta sauces
  • Tomato/brown sauce
  • Tins of dessert e.g. steamed puddings/creamed rice
  • Cereals e.g. wheat biscuits, cornflakes, oats.
